Just come back from a night of teishoku and Irish music. Twas great.
We started out in Mama Kitchen, one of our favourite teishoku (set
Japanese meal) restaurants. It's small and sort of Westernized in a very
Japanese way, just like something out of a Miyazaki film.
After very yummy food, me, Ellie and Sabine met up with Mayu at the Sligo
Inn, where the Irish folk band (called "Irish Cream") were playing again.
This time, I actually got to talk to one of the band members, the
bodrahn-ist. She's very much into British punk rock, so we talked a little
about that, and then she actually gave me a meishi (name card) and told me
to check their band out online!
Their website is at www.ne.jp/asahi/irish/music - go and check out what
must be one of the only Japanese-Irish Folk bands in the world!
